Being my own business owner, I work very hard to support and recognize other local business owners. Women in business is becoming a power house statement. Here in the Treasure Valley, we have such a great group of women business owners. When those women choose me to take their updated head shots, we have fun.
Most women start out fairly tense in front of the camera. Let's face it you walk into a room (aka studio), there is a chair in the center, and bright, hot lights circling around you. You sit on the chair ... now what. That's where I come in. It's my job to direct you into flattering positions and angles. I need to be able to relax you so that your photos don't look tense, forced, or worse scared. You need to look relaxed, beautiful, strong, in charge, and enjoying yourself. That's how you want to come off in your photos to potential clients. These photos are going on your business cards, your social media pages, maybe even flyers and newsletters. This will be a clients first look and impression of you. Let's make you great.
How do I get you from tense to relaxed and having fun? I'm a dork! I make faces. I crack stupid jokes. I dance around behind my camera and try to imitate (poorly I might add) those YouTube videos you see of photographers dancing around in front of their clients while taking photos. At some point you can't help but laugh by my pure dorkiness (wait, is that even a word)
In the end, you had fun, I got to do what I love (taking photos), and together we created impressionable shots that you will be proud to use as your business face.
